Last year nearly 85% of the calls that Silverton Fire District responded to were medical in nature.
Are you a certified EMR, EMT, AEMT, EMT-I or Paramedic and want to volunteer with a Fire District but do not want to fight fires?
Well the Silverton Fire District is for you!
The Fire District provides the opportunity for those of with one of these certifications to volunteer back to the community.
Requirements for the position; 
Currently certified EMR, EMT, AEMT, EMT-I or Paramedic (in good standing)
Live or work near a District Fire Station
No criminal record
Valid drivers license
Clean driving record
Be in good health
Complete required training
Ability to attend weekly drills
Have a desire to learn and help others
